This is one of my favorite subjects.
We are the very proud parents of 6 kids. 3 girls, 3 boys. Our 2 oldest, are 26 & 20. Then, 19,18,17,and the youngest boy, just turned 16.
We already have 2 beautiful grand babies, ages 6 and (going on) 2. The next one, also a girl, is due at the end of next month,with 2 of our other girls,due in February and April.
I still can't believe,sometimes,that I am a grandmother.
It seems like the time just flew from high school graduation to now.
I had always wondered,as a teen, what it would be like,and what kind of person I would be at this stage of my life.
As a teen,myself, I was so very active,even hyper active. I never thought I would ever be described by those who know me, as a fairly calm person,but, that's the way some close to me,describe me.
I may not be exactly where I wanted to be now, but, I am happy and content,and I finally have the large family I have always wanted.
It's so nice to see so many others out there, who share the same interests with me,and have much the same issues that I do,as a parent and a grand parent. No matter where we are in this great big world, we are all living the same types of lives,enjoying much the same activities,and are able to share these stories with people from,quite literally, all over the world.
I am so blessed to have the life that I have,and the friends I have gained through not only this site,but, the multiples of social networks that I belong to,thanks so much to my dear friend,chacha.
This is such a wonderful way for us to come together,share the things we can,and become so close as friends.
Even though, I may never meet you in person, though I wish to someday do just that, I know that you are there,and just because we are thousands of miles apart, we all share a common bond. This wonderful site,family life,night life,moving, homes, needs,loves and likes,and,sometimes,dislikes.
It still amazes me when I hear someone say the word,"foreigner". It cracks me up,because as a citizen of the united states, I realize that that is exactly what this great country is how it was built, I thank God every day for my great grand parents for coming here from Ireland and England and settling here. It provided me with a decent education, freedom to do the things my heart desires,and learn about other countries that I might never have heard of.
This site is proof,that we are not as different as so many others think we are.
I wanted to thank you for being my friends and for the creator of this site,for creating it.
